JACKSON-SHAW ANNOUNCES MAJOR INDUSTRIAL LEASE AND BUILD-TO-SUIT EXPANSION AT CROSSPOINT BUSINESS DISTRICT
Largest industrial building in Austin outside of Tesla and Samsung underscores region’s continued growth
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS (February 9, 2026) – Jackson-Shaw, a national real estate developer headquartered in North Texas, announced today the signing of a major industrial lease at its CrossPoint Business District, representing a significant expansion by Hunt Electric Corporation, operating as Baer Manufacturing. Baer Manufacturing will use the space to produce prefabricated electrical products, with a primary focus on underground duct banks supporting data center infrastructure.
Baer Manufacturing signed a long-term lease for a 606,000-square-foot build-to-suit facility in Phase 2 of the CrossPoint Business District. Additionally, the company has leased about 73,000 square feet of the remaining Phase 1 space to serve as a temporary operational area while its build-to-suit facility is under construction. Construction of the Phase 2 build-to-suit is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2027. ARCO/Murray Design Build and Ryan Companies will serve as the general contractors.
Next to the Baer Manufacturing facility, Jackson Shaw will build a 606,000-square-foot speculative industrial building, with construction also starting in March 2026. Once complete, these two buildings will be the largest industrial facilities in the Austin market, excluding those built for Tesla and Samsung.
“Baer Manufacturing’s expansion serves as a strong endorsement of CrossPoint and the broader Central Texas market. This project demonstrates the rising demand for large-format, mission-critical industrial space connected to data center growth and advanced manufacturing,” said Jackson-Shaw Vice President of Development Miles Terry. “The project has garnered strong support from both city and county partners, who are offering incentives and have expressed enthusiasm for the deal's economic impact and job creation.”
CrossPoint Business District is located on the west side of Interstate 35, north of the intersection with State Highway 195 and south of County Road 143. The multi-phase development is designed to accommodate large-scale industrial, manufacturing, and logistics users seeking proximity to the rapidly growing Austin-Central Texas region.
Compatriot Capital is the equity partner, and Busey Bank is the lender for the Baer build-to-suit. Huntington Bank is the lender for the speculative building. Powers Brown is the architect, Westwood is the civil engineer, and Darryl Dadon and Olivia Reed with CBRE are managing the leasing assignment for the development.
