JACKSON-SHAW ANNOUNCES HIRING OF EXECUTIVE CHEF FOR DUAL-BRANDED LAS VEGAS SYMPHONY PARK HOTEL
Five-story development with 441 guest rooms expected to open in early September
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (August 4, 2025) – Jackson-Shaw, a national real estate developer headquartered in North Texas, announces the hiring of Chris Kight as Executive Chef for its dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott Symphony Park and Element by Westin Symphony Park in Las Vegas.
“Originally from Chicago, Chef Chris Kight brings a lifelong passion for the culinary arts and a track record of excellence,” said Jackson-Shaw Senior Vice President of Hospitality Management Joe Blewitt. “He spent three years at the world-renowned French Laundry, refining his skills in menu development and high-end presentation. His experience also includes roles at Caesars Palace and the Hard Rock Casino. Chris’s creativity, precision and commitment to quality make him an exceptional addition to our team.”
The two hotels, seamlessly connected under one roof, are located on the south side of South Grand Central Parkway at Symphony Park Avenue, between the World Market Center and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Sharing a single address, the five-story development will offer 441 high-quality guest rooms and is slated to open in early September 2025.
“I’m excited to bring a level of luxury and sophistication to every dish and to be part of a dynamic team that values creativity and collaboration,” said Kight. “I look forward to sharing my experience, mentoring others and helping craft exceptional dining experiences that exceed expectations. What makes this opportunity especially exciting is Symphony Park’s energy — a walkable, vibrant district in downtown Las Vegas that’s quickly becoming a premier destination for upscale, non-gaming hospitality.”
The hotel is being developed in partnership with Compatriot Capital, with construction financing provided by Hall Structured Finance. Grand Canyon Development Partners is serving as the construction manager, Whiting-Turner as the general contractor and Cooper Carry as the project architect. The hotel’s management company is Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
