Four-story, 277-room property now open to serve North Phoenix’s growing business and leisure markets
PHOENIX, ARIZONA (November 18, 2025) – North Texas-based developer Jackson-Shaw and Arizona-based Holualoa Companies today announced the grand opening of the dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix North Norterra and Element by Westin Phoenix North Norterra. The four-story, 277-room property is located at 25100 North 22nd Lane, near the northeast corner of West Happy Valley Road and Norterra Parkway.
“This highly anticipated development, which broke ground in May 2024, is already a welcome addition to North Phoenix’s thriving market,” said Jackson-Shaw Senior Vice President of Hotel Development Joe Blewitt. “We’re seeing tremendous momentum and interest, and we’re excited to open with such an exceptional leadership team – General Manager Mark Hayes, Director of Sales Joe Hautem and Executive Chef Matthew O’Harris.”
Sharing a single address, the four-story dual-branded development features 277 stylish guest rooms designed for both short and extended stays. The AC Hotel offers 182 rooms that showcase the brand’s clean, modern aesthetic – a sophisticated blend of European-inspired design and contemporary comfort. The Element includes 95 rooms, thoughtfully designed for longer stays with a focus on balance, wellness and residential-style amenities.

Covering three acres, the hotel features 8,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, and three luxurious suites with two spacious communal rooms ideal for groups. Guests can enjoy a modern fitness center and a resort-style courtyard with a heated saltwater pool and spa, along with an outdoor covered pickleball court and the Topgolf Swing Suites. Each state-of-the-art Swing Suites offers a one-of-a-kind simulator bay with virtual games – including Topgolf target play, golf, baseball, football, hockey and dodgeball – creating an experience that’s fun for golfers and non-golfers alike.

The hotel was developed through a partnership between Jackson-Shaw and Holualoa Companies. Simmons Bank provided construction financing; Layton Construction served as the general contractor; Cooper Carry served as the project architect; and DiLeonardo managed the interior design. Crescent Hotels & Resorts manages the property.
