Jackson-Shaw breaks ground on International DC 1 in Jacksonville

Jackson-Shaw announces the groundbreaking of International DC 1, a 200,000-square-foot Urban Industrial site in Jacksonville, Florida. The building is the newest development in the 425-acre master-planned Jacksonville International Tradeport Business Park (JITBP), joining the existing 124,000-square-foot International 3 and 54,000-square-foot International 4.

“We are thrilled to expand our presence in Jacksonville with the development of International DC 1, a 200,000-square-foot multi-tenant industrial building,” said Michele Wheeler, president and chief operating officer of Jackson-Shaw. “Over the past decade, our firm has been committed to quality development projects and has owned and developed over 1,500,000 square feet in Jacksonville.”

International DC 1, slated for completion fourth-quarter of 2018, is situated in Jacksonville’s Northside submarket, immediately adjacent to Jacksonville International Airport. This prime location gives tenants immediate accesses to two major thoroughfares, Interstate 95 and Interstate 295, along with close proximity to all JAXPORT terminals: 11.0 miles to Dames Point, 11.5 miles to Blount Island and 14.0 miles to Tallyrand.

Haskew Construction will serve as the general contractor, Colony Northstar will be the investment partner and BB&T Bank will provide construction finance.
